About the event

Asexuality, aromanticism, and other orientations are defined by attraction. However, attraction is only one facet of sexuality. There are others which may overlap with our a-spec identities and influence how we understand or experience sex & relationships.

This Discussion Night will be a safe space where you can share your perspective on sexuality, ask questions, learn from each other, and possibly come away with some new ideas on how you live out your identity. Some of our discussion topics may include:

  • What is attraction/libido/favourability/positivity? (Do you agree with the definitions on the website event graphic?)
  • How do these play out in your life & relationships?
  • Do you find these concepts align with, or challenge, your identity as an a-spec person?
  • Are these even relevant to your own identity? Are there other concepts that you use?

Please RSVP using the button on this page! We will email you the online meeting link closer to the date.

Please note this is a Closed Event, intended only for a-specs (including anyone who is questioning their identity or unlabelled) and their invited guests (such as friends or family, who might also be a-spec or an ally). This is because we recognize that some members of our community may not be as comfortable in public spaces, or prefer to have certain conversations exclusively with other a-specs & trusted allies rather than the general public. If you are an ally from the general public, we welcome you to attend any of our other events instead. Thank you for respecting this.

Let us know if you have any questions (email: ABAcesandAros@gmail.com).
