Book Club

Our theme for September is "The Murderbot Diaries" by Martha Wells! This series of adult sci-fi novellas is named for the main character, Murderbot: an independent aroace android, defying societal expectations as it explores its sense of self (and maybe makes some friends along the way).

After reading the first novella "All Systems Red" in Book Club last year, we wanted an opportunity to revisit it. Whether you read one of the novellas or the entire series, listen to the audiobook, or just watch the TV show, we'll use this meeting to have a broad conversation about Murderbot and our interpretations of the story! Even if you're unfamiliar with it, you’re still welcome to attend - just be aware that you might hear some spoilers.
